Last week, we talked about the design and construction of CCEWOOL high temperature ceramic fiber in the pit furnace cover and sealing device. This week we are going to talk about application effect of CCEWOOL high temperature ceramic fiber in the pit furnace cover and sealing device.

After the installation of the furnace cover and the sealing device, without drying process, it can be put into production, and comparing with steel frame of refractory furnace cover under the same conditions, it has obvious effect.
1. Energy saving, High temperature ceramic fiber can be used as an industrial furnace with high temperature resistance and heat insulation properties, High temperature ceramic fiber conduction rate not only has the relationship with the operational temperature, in addition to the general difference is that the refractory density is less than 400kg / m3, the thermal conductivity increases with the density of fiber products decreased. While the high density of the fiber blanket has good strength, is conducive to high-temperature heating surface work.
Because the fibro felt has low thermal conductivity, the thinner lining can be used under the same thermal insulation performance. Because the fiber blanket has the characteristics of lightweight and low density, the heat storage of the furnace lid lining can be decreased obviously under the same condition and saving fuel consumption. According to the calculation, the unit area of heat storage area is 77% lower than before conversion.
The lid seal is changed from sand seal to high temperature ceramic fiber seal, which not only ensures the sealing of the furnace mouth, but also eliminates the leakage of furnace gas and the waste of fuel.
2. Improve the quality of heat treatment. Heat treatment furnace must be required to ensure the accuracy of the furnace temperature, uniformity, in order to ensure the quality of the work piece heat treatment. It is not only has the relationships with furnace temperature accuracy, uniformity and furnace structure and operational level; it also has the relationship with furnace mouth sealing condition in terms of pit furnace. In the past, one of the causes of the poor sealing of the furnace mouth is that the sealing effect is poor under the condition of high temperature; secondly, the furnace cover is subjected to high temperature and warping deformation, and it is difficult to keep the furnace mouth sealed.
As a result of the elimination of sand seals, replaced by a soft, flexible high-temperature ceramic fiber sealing device, and the application of low thermal conductivity ceramic fiber furnace lid structure, eliminating the phenomenon of the furnace cover warping, resulting in good sealing furnace mouth. The temperature difference between the upper and lower furnace is decreased, greatly improving the furnace temperature uniformity and temperature control accuracy, thereby improving the quality of the work piece heat treatment.
Before reform, after the work piece into the furnace, at the same time to increase nozzle opening level and increase the heating load in order to maintain the required heat treatment furnace temperature.
After the transformation, the furnace temperature is not only stable, but also can supply a small amount of heat load after 3 hours of continuous heat treatment, further reducing the gas consumption and reducing the fluctuation of the furnace temperature, which is beneficial to the improvement of the heat treatment quality.
3. To improve equipment life span, high temperature ceramic fiber heat treatment furnace with temperature below 1000C in foreign countries, and its still maintain a good state after using 3-4 years. Pit Furnace after modification, due to lightweight and low thermal conductivity of ceramic fiber material as furnace cover, The temperature’s the metal frame of the furnace cover is reduced to 60C, and uniform temperature distribution, which for welding carbon steel lid frame will not cause the furnace cover warping deformation, thereby enhancing the life span of the furnace lid.
