I can provide engineering drawings of specifically what we're looking to get. Some of the requirements we have for the material are: Tolerances do not have to be tight for us we’re looking to fit these in steel and graphite tubes with a cement we make in house. We want the material to be insulating(more than refractory), but also hold up to direct contact with molten aluminum. We would like good thermal shock resistance. Liners will go from a few hundred degrees to 1400F very quickly. We would like the material to be machinable. We are planning to machine some of the tubes into more complex shapes in house. We were making these in house with fiber paper and rigidizer by hand but we can no longer get ceramic paper that we can work with so we’re switching a lot of our products over to refractory liners. These two aren’t feasible to cast so we’re looking for a supplier for them. Thanks.
