What grade is ceramic fiber blanket?
Ceramic fiber blankets, as a highly efficient thermal insulation and fire-resistant material, are widely used in the industrial sector. They are made from ceramic raw materials (mainly alumina and silica) that are melted at high temperatures and then spun or blown into fine fibers, before being processed into blanket form through a specific technique.

Common grades of ceramic fiber blankets include:
Standard Grade (ST Grade): This grade of ceramic fiber blanket generally withstands temperatures around 1100°C and is suitable for general insulation and heat preservation scenarios, such as insulation layers in household appliances and thermal insulation in automobile exhaust systems.
High Purity Grade (HP Grade): With a temperature resistance of approximately 1260°C and a higher proportion of alumina, this grade is used for higher temperature industrial furnaces, kiln linings, and other applications requiring higher temperature resistance.
High Alumina Grade (HA Grade): Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1400°C, with a higher alumina content, it is suitable for high-temperature furnace linings, heat treatment equipment, and as insulation material in the chemical industry.
Zirconia Inclusive Grade (HZ Grade): With the highest temperature resistance of up to 1430°C, it is suitable for extreme high-temperature environments such as aerospace, high-temperature experimental furnaces, for thermal insulation and preservation.
In addition to considering the temperature grade, the following factors should also be considered:
Chemical Stability: The application environment may contain corrosive gases or liquids, so the chemical stability of the ceramic fiber blanket needs to be considered.
Physical Stability: The shrinkage rate, tensile strength, and flexibility at high temperatures are crucial for ensuring the lifespan and effectiveness of the ceramic fiber blanket.
Thermal Efficiency: Excellent thermal insulation performance is an important criterion for selecting a ceramic fiber blanket. Low thermal conductivity and high reflectivity contribute to overall thermal efficiency.
Ceramic fiber blankets, with their excellent high-temperature resistance, chemical stability, and ease of installation, play a significant role in various fields.
